At the end of the last session, the paladin, having recently advanced to 3rd level, fell into a 40' pit trap. The other party members found him non-responsive and were making ready to go to his aid.

We got the paladin out of the pit but not longer after were set upon by a few 7' orc-beastie looking things. During the fight, the savage wolf-riding archer has his right arm severed at the bicep! That was some brutal feces right there, man.

Next session for The Barons is tomorrow. Found some black dice with teal numbers to use since my Jaguars will be in the playoffs. Awww yeah.

Those dice didn't help Weyland, my cleric, very much but the Jaguars won their playoff game so its all good.

I've recruited two players, noobs to tabletop RPGs, for our 2e game. One will play a fighter and the other a ranger. I look forward to seeing how they get into the game and how the added muscle helps the party.

We had a new player join us, a guy I worked with in the Bellevue Community Theater production of M*A*S*H. Good person, mid-20s, total noob - never played a tabletop rpg before but was very excited to have the opportunity. New guy is playing a human ranger, Gromm. The first fight we get into in the dungeon after Gromm joined the party was against a weaker mimic (still over 40 hit points) that had KOed the 3rd level paladin. Gromm landed the killing blow on the mimic - very cool that the new player got to do so in his first ever tabletop game. 8-)

Next session is set for Sunday, 17-Feb. Since Monday, 18-Feb, is a federal holiday and all but one of us is off that day, we unanimously decided to have an extended play session on the 17th. We usually play from 1 PM to 5 PM but we will go until 9 PM next time. Awww yeah.
