[Movie] Howard Lovecraft and the Undersea Kingdom

Post by Cloak-n-Dagger » Sat Dec 16, 2017 4:20 pm

I was at Walmart this morning getting some pictures printed and my daughter wandered over, looking at kids DVDs nearby. I finished up and walked over with her so she could show me some Christmas movies. We got ready to leave and looked up to have this staring me in the face. It appears to be a new animated movie, one I've never even heard of until seeing the cover today. Without even a thought, I dropped it in the buggy because, well HPL.

I'm going to make an effort to watch it sometime before Monday, hopefully it's at least decent. The cast seems like a good lot with Ron Pearlman, Mark Hamill, and Christopher Plummer.

Looking online, there was one previously in 2016, Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom. I'll be scouting online to find a copy for sure.

Started watching, but didn't get to finish because my daughter kept interrupting me. I have off tomorrow and Monday, so I'm planning to finish it up. I'll let you know my final take as soon as I'm done.

Coincidentally, one of my younger brothers gave me a Free Comic Book Day copy of "Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom", which I've not read yet. Had no idea there was another or that either had been turned into an animated film....
